How surge ratings work
Motors draw 2–6× their running wattage for a fraction of a second on startup. A station must meet or exceed this peak surge to start the device. If it can't, the inverter trips — even if running watts are within spec. Check your station's surge (peak) rating, not just its continuous output. Learn more →
